An investment bank which focusses exclusively on the FinTech sector has announced its role in the latest round of funding for Margeta which has just completed a $25m Series C financing.
Investment bank FT Partners consists of Financial Technology Partners and FTP Securities. Since June, its raised capital for12 Fintech situations, including BlackRock’s acquisition of FutureAdvisor, $310 million sale of Currencies Direct, $300 million financing for GreenSky, $135 million financing for Kabbage, $225 million AvidXchange financing, $100 million Chrome River financing and BillGuard’s sale to Prosper.
This latest exercise supports Marqeta, a leading issuer processor and program manager for card and mobile-based payments programs. Newcomers to this round of fundraising are IA Capital, Commerz Ventures and Max Levchin, CEO and Co-Founder of Affirm. Other investors include existing backers 83North, Granite Ventures and Commerce Ventures.
